INTERNSHIPS

Internships:

Charlotte Steeplechase Association is searching for an individual with a desire to learn in the areas of event planning and management, marketing, sales, hospitality and public relations. College students and recent graduates with a wide range of degrees…including Sports Management, Marketing, and Event Planning…have gone on from our program to exciting careers.

Application Process: The intern position will be available in the spring semester. Eligible applicants will be reviewed in a timely manner and contacted by a Queen’s Cup staff member.

Spring Semester: Application is due by February 15. Internship will begin on March 5 and conclude in mid-May.

Who can apply and what is expected: College students and recent graduates in the area are encouraged to apply. All areas of study will be considered. Applicants are expected to be motivated and willing to work 32-40 hours per week. These hours will increase closer to the event and will include some weekends.

The Program:

Orientation for interns: Once the applicant has been interviewed and accepted, he/she will submit to a background check. On a favorable completion the applicant will assume the role of intern.  The internship is not paid and does not guarantee or imply future employment.

Semester Stipend: Internships are unpaid positions at the Queen’s Cup.  However, as a token of our gratitude, an intern who completes the semester internship favorably will receive a stipend.
